A new study has found that the more you snore, the more calories you burn. Snoring is commonly linked to sleep apnea and other disorders, and is caused when airways are partially blocked. The study focused on 212 adults who all had these types of sleeping problems. An average person was found to burn about 1,763 calories each night. Those who snore while they sleep though can burn up to 1,999 calories on average each night. They found a direct link between snoring and calories burning, so the more you snore, the more you burn! The study has been published in the Archives of Otolaryngology - eCanadaNowThis is the blog for CARG, the Coronary Artery Rehabilitation Group, based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada.
