The retired painter and decorator then collapsed and died in front of his partner and her toddler grandson. Yesterday Mr Wright's neighbours said they had been living in fear of the dogs and claimed they had attacked other pets. They said that despite repeated complaints to the police no action had been taken. Mr Wright's devastated partner Judith Hay, 47, described how he died in front of her and two-year-old grandson Kaden. She said: 'I cannot believe this has happened. Before the dogs attacked he was fine. He was in perfect health and happy. But after it he couldn't speak. He just gave a couple of gurgles.
