One in seven of the 3,120 children who took part in the Europe-wide study were found to have higher than average blood pressure and cholesterol levels. The youngsters, aged between two and nine-years-old, were also found to have poor fitness levels and layers of fat, putting them at greater risk of health problems in later life, according to scientists at the University of Zaragoza.
