Walgreens and tobacco giant Philip Morris filed restraining order requests against San Francisco last week seeking to prevent the implementation of the city's tobacco-free pharmacy law. Courts denied both requests and allowed the law to go into effect as scheduled. Walgreens says it will appeal the court's decision, and Philip Morris is expected to pursue its lawsuit in federal court.
