"Research is one way to change the way heart disease and stroke affect Canadians. Donor dollars are working hard to make sure our children live longer, healthier lives. The Heart and Stroke Foundation funded researcher on the tricycle is Dr. Brian McCrindle. He is taking an innovative approach to the problem by using the internet. Dr. McCrindle and his team are comparing two different rehabilitation programs to encourage children who have had surgery for congenital heart disease to be more physically active. One program will provide the family with specific physical activities for the children to perform each week.
