Selkirk, Manitoba, Big Bike Ride raises $40,000

That's the first word that came to the mind of Selkirk 2008 Big Bike Ride co-ordinator Michael Buhr after the event raised a record of $40,000 for the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation, the highest local total since the event raised $34,000 in 2001. Compared to Brandon's $22,000 contribution, the Selkirk effort puts the Catfish Capital second in Manitoba behind only Winnipeg and their total of $93,000"
